# Claude, ChatGPT & MCP

Let Claude or ChatGPT read and update your Fluid CRM pipeline for you. You tell the assistant what happened in plain words, and it keeps your deals, contacts and reminders up to date.

The connector uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), which is the standard way AI assistants connect to other tools. You don't need an API key, Zapier or anything to install.

### What you need

* A Fluid CRM account on a trial or a paid plan
* A Claude or ChatGPT account that supports connectors

### Connect to Claude

1. In Fluid CRM, open **Integrations** and go to the **MCP** tab.
2. Copy your MCP URL: `https://mcp.fluidcrm.io/mcp`
3. In Claude, open **Settings → Connectors** and choose **Add custom connector**.
4. Name it **Fluid CRM** and paste the URL.
5. Click **Continue**, sign in with your Fluid CRM account and approve the connection.

Claude can now see your pipelines, deals, contacts, companies, reminders and activity, and can update them when you ask.

### Connect to ChatGPT

1. In Fluid CRM, open **Integrations**, go to the **MCP** tab and copy the same URL: `https://mcp.fluidcrm.io/mcp`
2. In ChatGPT, open the plugins or connectors settings and add a new one with that URL.
3. Sign in with your Fluid CRM account and approve the connection.

### What you can ask

* "What deals do I have open right now?"
* "Give me a summary of my pipeline."
* "Add a new deal called Acme Website Redesign worth 5000."
* "Add Jane Miller from Acme as a contact."
* "Remind me to follow up on the Northwind deal next Tuesday."
* "Log a call on the Globex deal: they want the proposal by Friday."
* "Move the Initech deal to Proposal."

### What the connector can do

| Area | Read | Create | Update |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ---- | ------ | ------ |
| Workspaces, pipelines and stages | Yes | | |
| Pipeline summary | Yes | | |
| Deals | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Contacts | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Companies | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Reminders | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Activities (notes, calls, emails, meetings, tasks) | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Deals, contacts and companies can also be added in bulk.

### What it cannot do

* It cannot delete deals, contacts or companies. There are no delete tools.
* It does not send emails or messages to your contacts.
* It only reaches the workspaces your own Fluid CRM account can access.

One thing to know: marking a deal as won or lost clears the reminders on that deal, the same as it does in the app.

### Sign-in and security

* You connect through OAuth, a standard secure sign-in. You approve the connection in Fluid CRM and never give your password to the AI assistant.
* You can disconnect an assistant at any time.
* The data an assistant reads is sent to the AI provider you chose and handled under that provider's own terms.
* Fluid CRM doesn't use your CRM data to train AI models.

Full details are in the [Privacy Policy](https://fluidcrm.io/privacy-policy).

### Troubleshooting

**The assistant says it can't find a workspace.** Check that you signed in with the Fluid CRM account that owns your data, and that the connector URL is exactly `https://mcp.fluidcrm.io/mcp`.

**The assistant says your plan is inactive.** Your trial has ended. Reactivate under Settings → Account in Fluid CRM.

**The assistant asks for confirmation before a change.** That is expected. Changes to existing records ask for your approval first.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://fluid-crm.gitbook.io/fluid-crm-docs/features/claude-chatgpt-and-mcp.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
